Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, 2 pages 8vo (slight staining and wear, but in good condition), Blackheath Park, 28 January 1866. Declining an invitation to join a Committee.
'... though the contemplated exhibition and botanical congress would be very interesting to me, my occupations will preclude me from taking any part in it, and I must therefore decline being put on the Committee.'
Apparently unpublished, not in The Later Letters, ed Mineka and Lindley, 1972.
