Autograph Letter Signed and an Autograph Letter (third person), 2 pages 8vo (torn corner) and 1 page 4to, no place and Kensington Gravel Pits, no date and 23 February 1830. Asking for copies of a book from Longman and Co., bemoaning his lack of Greek, and giving family news (to an unnamed correspondent). '... Your latin I comprehend & your English but the rest is Greek to me. But however as it is the language of a proud Stoic I have no need of it - I envy you your Greek that I might read the New T[estament] in its original language; but then I shd want Hebrew, & then I fear I should neglect my Profession. ...'
